This bike is all original (except for the battery of course). I used this bike as my main transportation for years. It gets 110 miles to gallon and can hit upwards of 50 mph (with a good tailwind). You will get some great looks and make some friends cruising around on this bike. I can't go anywhere without someone telling me how awesome this bike is and how they used to have one when they were young. It's great for local transportation when parking and gas prices are an issue. So why am I selling it? If you look at the pictures (linked) you will see a blue double stroller in the background. Two babies means scooter has to go (as well as most of my other prized vintage collections.) In being as critical as possible I would probably rate this bike a 5.5 out of 10. 10 being straight off the showroom floor (in 1980). There is the expected wear and tear on a bike that is 32 years old. Rust spots (minor) and scratches. The right mirror is broken and the headlight casing is a little out of place. (Some joker thought it would be funny to kick the bike over). The bike starts very easily and runs smoothly. You will have to adjust the idle a bit as the bike seems to stall if you let off the gas. this is usually a simple fix, but I have no time (that's why I have to sell it. I can't use it so rather than let it sit...someone else ...old motorcycles for sale
